Thank you for reading. I really appreciate it! 😁

This poem is the lyrics from a song I wrote. I have forgotten the melody and I found out yesterday I could rewrite it as a poem and publish.

The inspiration in the text was to point on selfish people using drugs to get high in the weekends and even stronger drugs to get down on Monday — to achive a successful family and working life through the week — until they were hooked on both lifestyle and drugs. If they then want to reverse and get out of the circle they are all alone, and that fight has to be done only by themselves. It is kind of to achieve immediately success without facing the consequences before it is too late, and then the storm is stronger than you expected.

But there are more underlines in the lyrics as all the credits used to buy a posh lifestyle without the consequences for the environment. Two decades later I am quite sure everybody can admit I was right. And the numbers tell many a man or women lost the fight.

I like to give the reader — or the listener — a possibility to paint their own picture. This make — in my eyes — a song or a poem more timeless and then can suit different situations. I think these words also describe today’s situation and the urge to reopen, because there are consequences to face.

But the good news is today the melody came back to my guitar. 😁

You might know me, but you don’t. I got wet in the rain, but now always soaked. I thought a lot. High thoughts and also loud and clear.
