And how clean is the energy to produce it? And how much is needed?

I can still remember the lightbulbs blinking when the smelteries started their ovens. Now they are building a battery factory in my neighbourhood that needs 2000 workers and an untold amount of energy. How do they get there? By their diesel car, of course, as the factory is placed between two cities. I just love traffic jams and diesel dust. Don't you?
