A Tree That Speaks To Me

A TRUE POEM

I walked the path
The one I did not form
Through the forest
As I just passed there
Twice or was it trice
In a glimpse of eternity

Suddenly I heard ca-doc ca-a-doc
A tree speaking to me
Again ca-doc ca-doc
It speaks to me
The wind ain’t here
Speak that articulated

Hmmm I wondered
As my feet walked me away
Out into the bushland
As new land became soaking marshland
My wet shoes make me turn go back
Approach the forest once again

Again the silence in the wood
Just whispers of old leaves fallin’
The wind ain’t there but bees at work
And then again ca-doc ca-doc
The tree that speak to me
Can you believe what I just heard

The tree that speak to me…

You might know me, but you don’t. I got wet in the rain, but now always soaked. I thought a lot. High thoughts and also loud and clear.
